Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance.     Had a wonderful dinner at Alma Gaucha. The food was amazing! The selection at the salad bar was extensive and offered so much for all tastes. But of course most of us go to a Brazilian BBQ for the meat… and at Alma Gaucha, it was sooooo good. The staff was so attentive, kind, and welcoming. My family and I all enjoyed our experience and can’t wait to go back!

    This is the second time I've been and it was as good as the first time! This is such a great place, excellent food, great service, cool vibe, no one rushing you, can't recommend this enough, you have to experience yourself, highest recommendations!

    We went here to celebrate our engagement, and they pulled out all the stops. Ruddy was amazing as well as the rest of the staff, the food was incredible especially the mussels. We left completely full of food and love

    This is the 2nd time at shy bird for brunch. Went with my daughters,24 & 21 and they loved it as much as I did. Started with the grilled banana bread. Delicious. I had the chicken Benedict and daughters had a wrap and a burrito. All meals were generous and very tasty. When I am in southie I will be sure to include a stop at shy bird.
