Excellent dishes plus a very good and most polite and prompt service. Having asked in advance for a table by a window, we we were taken to an excellent table in a corner of the restaurant , with a splendid view over the marshes. Great food, good service and nice ambiance. The £12 Tuesday menu was excellent.

We had a minor problem with one of our meals. The way that it was dealt with went way above and beyond our expectations. The food was amazing and portion size big. We had the crispy chilli beef and Camembert to start, followed by the Skate wing and Cajun spiced flat iron steak. The crispy chilli beef tasted amazing and so fresh, the Camembert with homemade cheese straw was delicious. I had the flat iron steak and it was cooked to perfection and so tender. The skate wing was melt in the mouth amazing. We were too full to have dessert but have had one on a previous visit and they are incredible. All waiting staff and the manager were attentive and couldn’t have done more.

Came to the Red lion from Cambridge in the summer and sat near the river Such a lovely setting Came back to Norwich and decided to book Sunday lunch Had the pork belly and Roast beef Have to say it’s the best roast we have had 10/10 for everything Gary and Linda Cambridge

Very attentive staff, lovely food all presented very professionally. Plenty of room between tables which is nice. Menu de jour excellent value with the addition of a couple of specials. Highly recommend.
