The name “Sessions” comes from the British term “session beers”. During WWI in England, munitions workers had long breaks often taken at the pub where they enjoyed pints of ale with lunch and lively conversation. Sessions has a unique partnership with Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. Chef receives deliveries from the Ranch of their fruits, vegetables, herbs & olive oil. We serve food that, more often than not, accesses that part of our deepest soul where genuine expression can flow forth. We have always tried to give our food and service our best selves, as honest and vulnerable as we can muster. We strive to be a place where you might actually have a real connection; maybe with your server, maybe with your food or maybe with your possibly gracious host who is ACTUALLY glad you’re there. Oh, you wanted a restaurant description? Sorry. Can’t really help you there. We’re not so big on labels. Our food is hard to nail down as we are constantly evolving and entirely seasonal and personal. We’ve used “Food you eat” as a tag line on occasion and that remains accurate. We could also describe it as “Food we really want you to eat”. When you’re here, tell us what you would call it.

    We flew into San Francisco during the atmospheric river for a 70th birthday celebration. The weather was disappointing but our waiter was over the top great. He was friendly, informative and made the night special. The whole staff made us feel welcome and the food was outstanding. We even received a special birthday treat! Highly recommend this restaurant!

    WOW what an experience! The food & wine, ambiance, staff, restaurant seating- everything was fantastic! I would highly recommend this restaurant to any and everyone. The owner shook our hands as we left the restaurant and they were so friendly and engaging. The Duck Confit was amazing. The wines and bread, Kale salad and desserts were exceptional. Everything was spot on! Can't wait to come back again. Keep doing what you're doing Cote Ouest, don't change a thing! Cheers!

    Sessions is one of our go-to restaurants for high-quality, expertly prepared, delicious food. We love the setting either indoors or out. For beverages, there is lots of variety with Lucas's French, Italian or Californian wines and a full bar. The short ribs with the polenta cake, Jerusalem artichokes, cranberries and sweet potato puree was the stand-out dish for us this visit. It's a neighborhood gem!

    Great, friendly and attentive service. We sat outside which was super cute and comfortable. Great food. We had dinner but will return for brunch.
