Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplins always offers great food with good service, and tonight was no exception. They were slammed with large tables from a convention, yet the team still managed to run a very efficient service without compromising on taste or hospitality!

It’s one of my favorite restaurants in DC. My first stop when we fly in from Miami. The Salties are the best oyster by far.

I was very disappointed that there were no tlayudas available. That was the main reason we came. Additionally, the molcajete is a much smaller portion now, with hardly any cheese, and the bowl wobbled terribly which made it difficult to eat. Not sure I will return with so many other options to choose from.

It is such a sweet restaurant. The food is amazing. The service was wonderful. You can tell they take tremendous pride in what they do. Great place.
