Welcome to dLeña, a Wood-Fire Mexican Cocina & Mezcaleria by Chef Richard Sandoval.dLeña is derived from the Spanish word “leña,” meaning firewood. The restaurant is centered around it’s wood-burning grill - a nod to the rustic open-fire cooking techniques of Mexico’s past. The menu transports diners to Mexico through a multi-sensory experience in every bite of the signature smoked entrées, fresh ceviches, and unique sharing plates. The expansive bar features hand-crafted margaritas, Latin cocktails, cervezas and vino. Christmas Eve is dinner will be a curated $92/per person prix fixe. Large parties of 6+ will be invited to our family friendly, buffet-style seating. Parties of 1-5 will be served a la carte in our main dining rooms. Since our early days as a tea room, we’ve been a respite for locals and visitors alike, offering a haven for conversation and memorable cuisine. The tradition continues as our culinary team has curated an inventive and elevated menu through New American cuisine while paying homage to the beloved dishes that have been served at the Tabard Inn for years. A DC institution since 1922, we look forward to offering our guests all the comforts of a home away from home. Executive Chef Matthew Zafrir came to the Tabard in 2023, bringing with him experience from various fine dining restaurants around D.C. such as minibar by José Andrés, Cranes, Revelers Hour.

Centrolina is an Italian restaurant and market, locally owned and operated by Chef Amy Brandwein, set in Washington’s CityCenterDC development. The Osteria showcases a seasonally driven menu of authentic and innovative Italian dishes offered for lunch and dinner.     A lovely place, comfortably laid out. Service was a bit slow, particularly getting our drinks- we actually had our appetizer before our drinks arrived. Food came out promptly. Watching the staff work together, helping each other was a treat.

    A wonderful lunch! We had the most beautiful watermelon radish salad, and two pastas that were excellent. We went with our server Adriana’s recs and she was spot on! She’s a gem. Sorry we were too full for dessert…

    We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. Loved the esthetic appropriately decorated for Christmas. Our server Merybeth was exceptional! She was welcoming very attentive, and anticipated our needs. Merybeth made our whole experience rate it 5 stars. Now the food, we ordered the Tomahawk steak with Zanahorias al carbon(roasted heirloom carrots) and papa al horno(wood-fired baked potato). The steak was cooked at medium temperature, juicy, tender and seasoned to perfection. The steak was infused with herbs flambé at our table side which made the experience exquisite! We also ordered the Queso fundido with beef and ceviche Amarillo which very delicious. Everything was beautifully plated! We will definitely be coming back!

    Carmines has become a Christmas tradition and yesterday didn’t disappoint. We had plenty of delicious food, a waitress who was attentive but not overbearing. a table that allowed for conversation and time to enjoy our dinner.
