The name "Hakkasan" pays homage to the ‘Hakka’ people from the New Territories of Hong Kong while ‘san’ is the respectful Japanese form of address. Paya is an exuberant, island-inspired restaurant and bar located on Miami’s South Beach founded by Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality. It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails. The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

    Best restaurant experience in Miami. Food was refined, playful and absolutely delicious. The setting stunning AND the service, the best we have had in Miami. Very professional, experienced, warm. We sat at the very glamorous bar and got VIP treatment from everyone on the team, plus got to see some serious cocktail making moves! We’ll come every time we visit Miami (thanks to Mario, Christian, Jamar, Qwen and the tema)

    Best lunch I’ve literally ever had in miami. Jane the hostess seated us as quickly as she could despite quite a wait and did so with the warmest smile. William the manager was so lovely and highly attentive making sure we were taken care of. And of course, the cake goes to Alberto who is really one of the most special people I have ever met. A warm charisma unlike any other! I will never forget his vibrant spirit that made what would have been just a typical weekend lunch into a core memory with my family forever. It really was a special day, the food was great the weather cooperated, the view captivating, but the staff was what really made it exceptional.

    Incredible dining experince! The food 🥘 was sensational! Dom sum was yummy, Crispy duck salad delicious, the stir fried rice and sea bass were scrumptious! Tasty drinks and wonderful service in a really cool, darkened atmosphere with bumping background beat! Highly recommend!

    Amanda, our server, has a gift for making you feel special even when she’s balancing ten tables. Natalia at the front desk also deftly juggles groups waiting as well as anyone I’ve ever seen. Both are keepers!
