In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. Took my parents out for an early Christmas dinner with my wife. Great food, great drinks. The chocolate old fashion was delicious as was the white Christmas cosmo. Service was outstanding. Would highly recommend

Vincent’s never disappoints, quality and portion size are always excellent, great drinks and always a very attentive and helpful staff, from the maitre d’ to the wait staff to the bus folks and those assisting wait staff…. No wonder they’ve always got a big crowd.

I always enjoy coming to Dunns River. The music is good, the food is amazing and it’s the only sit down Caribbean experience that is top tier compared to the normal hole in the wall establishments with the plex glass separating the customers. Home run for date night. My only wish is that the music isn’t so loud all the time. It’s so hard to have a conversation. I stayed away from Friday & Saturday and picked a weekday date night thinking it would be a quieter background noise kind of night. Nope. We were still shouting at each other. After our meal we ending up walking around in the rain so we could hear each other lol. Something to consider for management maybe.
