For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. The Aperture, the first full-scale restaurant project from Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown. The menu reflects the concept of Mediterranean mezze style dining, consisting of many small plates, rustic in nature and reflective of seasonality and creates a natural progression and flow for the dining experience. The Aperture’s menu reflects three fundamental tenets: intention, balance, and focus.     Celebrated Christmas Eve with my family. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Our server Alec was friendly and did an excellent job. The food was excellent as it always is at the Precinct. I had the boneless ribeye, my wife a filet with bearnaise sauce, and my daughters had the salmon. Everyone was happy with their choices and we had a wonderful evening. Looking forward to the next time we have an opportunity to go to a Jeff Ruby restaurant.

    Me and my mom came here for Christmas Eve lunch. The person who called the day before was so sweet and helpful. Our server was beyond exceptional, friendly, and so helpful. The food was amazing! Thanks for making Christmas 2024 so special. Buon Natale!

    My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous pre-Christmas date night at The Aperature. I have been wanting to dine here since they opened but hadn’t yet been able to make it in. Our food was fabulous and our server, Sam, was perfectly friendly and attentive. In fact the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed sharing the small plates. We had the garlic & eggplant hummus, the sweet potato with feta, the kale pesto spaghetti, and the ribeye. Literally every single bite was delicious. We split the toffee pudding for dessert. We felt the food quality was as good or better than another local small plates restaurant we visited this time last year and The Aperature bill was HALF of what it was at the other place.
