Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar. We had a great time! The service was good. Our server was on top of orders, refills, and checked in on a regular basis. Chef Jordan was fantastic! He cooked everything perfectly and was great with the kids at the table.

Wonderful restaurant. Service is excellent, food is delicious and ambience is delightful. Great old fashioned cocktail with good whiskey collection and wines by the glass. Pappardelle entree was excellent, as was the sea bass. Angus beef tartare appetizer and the minestrone soup were great. Good deserts. Prices are a bit steep, but it is worth it for a nice celebration.
