The Caucus Club, located in the Penobscot Building, is an historic, stylish art deco masterpiece featuring two distinct dining spaces, historic bar and live Jazz. The front entrance leads guests to the elegant front dining room with the stage being the focal point. The back entrance leads to the dark and moody back room and bar with space for mingling, cocktails and dining. Adjacent to the bar entrance is the Caucus Club Kitchen, fully viewable from the hallway of the Penobscot building.The menu centers around the in-house dry-aging room, yielding Prime Steaks and Chops expertly butchered on site. Meatball and shrimp appetizers were overdone. Steak was excellent. From a value perspective the restaurant was overpriced for the level of service and attention to detail.
