Serving contemporary French food, this much-loved independent restaurant has been going strong for over 22 years. Before booking, please note the restaurant has both downstairs and upstairs. The same menu options are available on both floors. There is no lift upstairs. Re Tasting Menu Timings: At lunch you must book before 1.45pm, and at dinner before 8.45pm. We hadn’t been to this restaurant for a couple of yeas so had not experienced it under new ownership. We booked online and added the note asking if it was for a special occasion. It was and for my wife’s birthday, what an experience. As we entered the restaurant and confirmed our name, my wife was immediately greeted with a happy birthday and it went on, wow customer service 150%. The food was a picture, and the flavors exceeded our expectations. This is a high-quality restaurant with a bar, not a pub that serves food to the masses. First class and thank you to those who work front and back of house and made our night memorable.
