Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.     Small intimate dinning room in the Washington pedestrian mall. Professional, friendly & attentive staff. Attractively decorated for the holiday while still maintaining elegance. It is BYOB. The New England Clam Chowder was flavorful with generous amount of clams. Husband had grilled polenta with broccoli rabe & fresh shaved Pecorino Romano cheese “like Mom used to make.” I couldn’t finish my seafood risotto. So generous was the portion of local shrimp, scallops & clams though I tried ! Husband had Shrimp & Salmon with mash potatoes in chili sauce. Delicious. Try the Pumpkin cheesecake & you’ll think it’s Thanksgiving again. Highly reccomended

    Haven't been here in a while. But I'm happy to say it's as good as it's always been. Wonderful food to say the least. Waitstaff are the best bar none. Ambiance is incomparable.

    Another perfect meal at Washington Inn. Celebrated a birthday with my parents here from out of state. Mushroom soup was very flavorful and both the sea bass and short rib were excellent. Presented beautifully too. The short rib was the best I have had anywhere. Jenny our server was very attentive and really knew the menu and also made us aware of the sommelier on staff. We were not doing wines tonight but good to know as we will continue to go here. Decorated beautifully for the holidays too!
