Awesome date night for valentines. Was disappointed at only one thing. The 5 course tasting menu we booked was canceled and instead it was a 3 course with an optional 4th for extra money. Ben our server was fantastic and the food was great. Its was an amazing experience for high end dinning in Ottawa.

Exceptional Dining Experience at Beckta From start to finish, our experience at Beckta was nothing short of amazing. The service was impeccable—though we unfortunately forgot the name of our waitress, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for throughout the evening. We opted for the menu dégustation, and every course was a masterpiece. The flavors were expertly balanced, the ingredients fresh and thoughtfully chosen, and each plate was presented beautifully, showcasing the culinary artistry that makes Beckta stand out. A true highlight of the meal was the blue cheese dessert—an absolute wow factor! It was a bold yet perfectly executed creation by the pastry chef, demonstrating incredible skill and thoughtfulness in its composition. Beyond the food, the ambiance was intimate and inviting, striking the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. It’s clear that Beckta is committed to delivering not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience. If you’re looking for a top-tier restaurant in Ottawa, Beckta is a must-visit. We had dinner on Valentine’s Day, and ordered the specials entree’s. We shared a Caesar salad and oysters on the half as appetizers. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented. Our waiter was excellent…he knew the menu and was able to suggest the perfect cocktail and wine to complement our evening. We went back for a night cap the next night, and the night manager recognized us and came over to introduce herself. She was super friendly and we shared a nice conversation. The Sore Club is a wonderful, classy venue. We’ll be back!

The meal was very enjoyable and had lots of unique dishes coupled with very amazing techniques. I was a very big fan of the trout ravioli which was so unique and amazing. My only suggestion is not double desert but one more creative entree. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, ambiance was great and it was definitely overall a great experience. Oh the tip is included in the bill which was also kinda cool.

We had such a great time! 3 generations. Myself, my Mom and my daughter. We were greeted and treated with genuine happiness and appreciation the entire time. Loved the tea menu and the knowledge of the waitstaff about the food and teas was outstanding. We were asked straight away about food allergies, which I feel is such an important question. We felt totally cared for. Magic moments created!! A memory the three of us will have forever.
