Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests. My wife and I went to the General Warren Inn to celebrate our anniversary. It was a busy evening there (good to see) and our service was reasonably good given the number of folks present. While our entrees were delicious, I have one small complaint…. The rolls we were served were cold and bore an amazing resemblance to what we buy off the shelf at the grocery. Truthfully I expect a bit more upscale in a white tablecloth restaurant. Otherwise, enjoyable.

Best Onion Soup I've had in a long time! We were seated quickly and our server, Zoe, immediately greeted us. She was friendly and checked in on us regularly. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and dress is casual. Just what I hoped for on a Saturday night! We'll be back soon!

I have been wanting to go to Cedar Hollow Inn for a long time and finally made it! What a wonderful experience from the ease of making the reservation, to the hosttess greeting to the phenomenal older waittress and the food was outstanding. I will go again, and again. Wish I went years ago :)

Our waiter was awesome! Very personable. We were in celebrating our daughter and they brought over champagne and ginger ale for the four of us. The food was amazing per usual. The manager and all of the staff made our night first class! Wonderful experience!

Totally enjoyed eating there. The decor was attractive & calming. The hostess & wait staff were accommodating & helpful to when we asked questions about the menu, which had a wide variety of choices. The food was amazing & beautifully prepared - everything was fresh. I haven't had wonton soup this good in years. The spare ribs were delicious! My walnut shrimp dish was so good! My husband and niece also enjoyed their meals. We will be going back!
