Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith. We also offer cocktails courtesy of Jeffrey Morgenthaler and Benjamin "Banjo" Amberg.Our Italian and French-influenced menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though his experiences working at Michelin-starred restaurants all over the country.From Don: At Don’s, you may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might also find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, and popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because the Laurents family makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. Always a solid choice and our go-to when we have a mixed group of vegetarians, picky kids, and carnivores - truly something for everyone. This time we enjoyed the prime rib and prawns in garlic pasta and both were outstanding. Service is always warm and welcoming. Thank you, OG! The only down side is food comes out so quickly, we have often felt a bit rushed to finish our meal. But the speed of service can’t be beat!

Fantastic restaurant! Mellow ambience on the second floor of a >100 yo house. Cozy. Food was amazing. Duck confit was a very unusual presentation and utterly delicious. Clams and mussels Devine. Prices were very reasonable. Waitstaff was fun and engaged. Definitely going back!

The most amazing manicotti I’ve ever had. It’s hard to walk that line of ‘there’s a lot going on here’ and ‘there’s too much going on here’; and every dish nailed it at Don’s. Every course was perfectly timed, the service was amazing. It was pretty cold inside the restaurant so I would highly recommend wearing a sweater, but the wine selections are so good they’ll warm you right up! We can’t wait to come back at the next special occasion! 🎉
