Montecatini is a stable for Walnut Creek as it opened October 17, 1989, the day of the Loma Prieta earthquake in California. We had a wonderful meal with fantastic service. It was a crowded night, but we could still converse at our table. I’m really enjoyed the cocktails as well as the mock cocktails.

My favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek! Fantastic food, incredible service & ambience. There is nothing average on the menu either. The escargot & carpaccio are beyond amazing. And don’t forget to end with either the tiramisu or zabaglione/ with strawberries. Absolutely the best ending to a phenomenal Italian meal!

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here and wow, the service was great, the food was amazing, and we loved the creative cocktails. We were so impressed by the Elia staff and their attention to detail. The special menus noting his birthday was our first surprise and he loved the sparkler candle at the end. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a great experience for my dad's 90th birthday- wanted accommodations for a quieter space and the manager was so gracious! The food was spectacular- the value was great with large portions, so we had a scrumptious meal. My dad had a hankering for veal parmesan, they made it happen and it was fabulous. This was our third great experience there... so wanted to share it with you- highly recommend!
