The Plumed Horse Restaurant has been a beacon of South Bay fine dining since 1952. Michelin has agreed, awarding Chef Peter a star for 15 consecutive years.Chef's tasting menu, composed of multiple courses featuring items from local farms and fishermen, is the highlight. We, Hashiri Bettei Kaiseki Aoki, deliver the experience of “kaiseki ryori,” a type of Japanese fine dining which historically developed to be served in the Japanese tea room. The tea room, as a space, symbolizes the home of the Japanese tea ceremony, a simple yet transformative experience offering a pause in time to appreciate the seemingly small experience of sharing tea. As such, we’ve designed both the architecture and the experience, to condense an infinite expanse into an extremely small space.The space is designed sans distracting elements.     Love this community-I’m a Santa Clara college student parent and always left with a good feeling post visits-it’s all the little experiences that add up-the waitstaff are first class here, hostesses were excellent too. Coming from a history in fine dining service both front facing and waitstaff-excellent place! Oh yeah-food is always fresh, arugula lemon salad a craving and the pizza as close as you will get to Italy-

    We used to go there all the time and stopped going about 8-9 months ago. Last time we were there the bartender was rude…. So we stopped going. We decided to give it another try, the bar area is very nice….and ….We had a great time, cocktails were great and portions were good size and bartenders were exceptional!!!
