Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A great place to have small gatherings. Not recommended if you were in a rush. Even with without a wait time to be seated, my experience was 90 minutes for two burgers and fries. Kitchen took a little longer than anticipated. Still, would return four the ambiance

The service was excellent and ambience was comfortable. The salads we ordered were very good and portions and ingredients were fresh and portions generous. Only thing our tomahawk ribeye was a little bit charred. Desserts were delicious, we ordered the chocolate lava cake, so good! The carrot cake was moist. Will definitely come back again !

Not only was the space itself beautiful, comfortable, and well thought out- every dish was delicious, and the service was impeccable. A definite highlight was the chocolate cake, and the tuna tartar was divine. Nick, our waiter, and all of the rest of the crew- were top notch. We came for a birthday celebration, and I’m certain we will return.
