Had an extraordinary dining experience with their 10-course meal with their fabulous wine pairing. I really appreciated the wines chosen so thoughtfully that enhanced and complimented the flavors of each dish and was happy to discover some wonderful international wines. Truly a once in a lifetime luxurious experience. Thank you Commis for making my 60th birthday celebration so memorable and special.

FABULOUS! We did not know what to expect from Julia’s, but we were excited to be in such an historical setting. We got to dinner early (after the Cal game), so we had drinks in their bar, which is adjacent to the restaurant. What a highlight-drinks were spectacular and old school while still being hip and cool. This is a great place for all ages in a stunning location. You really feel a part of the local history. Dinner—OUTSTANDING. All of our orders were different and really a fulfilling experience. The beauty of the building and its facilities makes this space unique, but really the team there, from the bartenders, to the host to the serving staff in the restaurant, are so professional and focused on hospitality—-something that is harder and harder to experience. We will be making this a regular part of our visits to Berkeley.

Everything my friend and I ate was absolute delicious, as well as beautifully presented. Service was excellent. Even loved the music they were playing. This is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion.

The ambiance was breathtaking, with elegant holiday decor that made everything feel so magical and welcoming. The tea setup was flawless, with every detail carefully considered, creating a warm and luxurious experience from start to finish. The service was truly world-class – attentive, friendly, and gracious. They even offered complimentary champagne, which added a special touch to the whole experience. Each tea and treat was delicious, with a perfect balance of traditional holiday flavors and unique twists.
