Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. For the love of her, Orion forged the island for wild game and seafood to prepare elaborate banquets in celebration of their love. Nisei presents a contemporary approach to Japanese American cuisine by combining deep Japanese flavors, refined cooking technique, and Northern California's finest ingredients. Nisei can accommodate most severe allergies with advance notice, however due to the nature of the tasting menu format, we can not meet all dietary restrictions or aversions. Blue Table was the perfect dinner spot for our annual SF Holiday dinner. The dumplings were delicious, the cocktails perfect, the Christmas tree was beautiful. Smelled like pine .. our server (Ashley) was great and she had fabulous recommendations! It was pricey as expected for the Marina. Would def go again. Highly recommend the baked bbq pork buns and crab and pork dumpling. Family favorites!

Always An amazing experience! Everything on the Menus is dependable and superb. We had an extra person and a miscommunication on our reservation however Val the lead hostess and manager made a huge effort to accommodate us and ensure we could fit our guest. I’ve never seen a manager go through so much effort and be as gracious as Val was and go above and beyond to help us out. Thank you Val.

Great menu, and our server was quite helpful in advising on dishes to consider. The SJB Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings were incredible, as was the Hong Kong Wok-Fried Egg Noodles with Mushroom & Bok Choy. Service was attentive. Would definitely return.
