Montecatini is a stable for Walnut Creek as it opened October 17, 1989, the day of the Loma Prieta earthquake in California. Since then, Montecatini Ristorante has become a place for "regulars" to enjoy a true Italian dining experience. We are a loud and bustling environment where many have come to say we're like family. My favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek! Fantastic food, incredible service & ambience. There is nothing average on the menu either. The escargot & carpaccio are beyond amazing. And don’t forget to end with either the tiramisu or zabaglione/ with strawberries. Absolutely the best ending to a phenomenal Italian meal!

Wonderful experience at lunch. Super friendly staff, enticing menu, food served with flair and tasted so good. We were seated at Table 80, which is in a secluded alcove. We appreciated the location until a larger party was seated next to us and the ambience went from quiet to boisterously loud.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here and wow, the service was great, the food was amazing, and we loved the creative cocktails. We were so impressed by the Elia staff and their attention to detail. The special menus noting his birthday was our first surprise and he loved the sparkler candle at the end. We will definitely be coming back!
