Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. I’ve been coming to Miller and Lux since it’s opening and, consistently, the service does not disappoint, the food is memorable, and all conveniently located within walking distance of home and work. While I was seated on time, my guest anticipated arriving late, and the welcome and ease of dining was paramount. Thank you to all staff!

We had a pre-theater dinner. Seated promptly at reservation time. Orange and beet salad was a perfect combo I wouldn't have thought of. Both mains were very good. The mushrooms on the risotto stood out. Tables are close, but this is a city after all.

Always An amazing experience! Everything on the Menus is dependable and superb. We had an extra person and a miscommunication on our reservation however Val the lead hostess and manager made a huge effort to accommodate us and ensure we could fit our guest. I’ve never seen a manager go through so much effort and be as gracious as Val was and go above and beyond to help us out. Thank you Val.
