Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. Excellent Indian flavors with modern techniques and fusions. I came with a friend from Delhi, and it was truly a treat to experience each course from both a new perspective, but also to have my friend speak to how the ingredients they use were common fare from his childhood, and praising how they elevated these humble staples to new heights. The cocktails pack a major wow factor with the presentation, and the flavors are excellent. Service was great, and on par with the Michelin rating. Complements to the chef, who was so kind to meet us in person despite the heavy prep his team had ahead of Thanksgiving!!!

Everything about this restaurant was delicious and thoughtfully made. Even though Chef Edward Lee was not there in person, the Chef that was cooking did an amazing job because the food was very flavorful. This restaurant has exceeded my expectations and I am glad I did not give up on making the reservations.

Nice experience. Ambiance was very nice. I felt the tea sandwiches could be much better. You could tell they were made in advance. Very small amount of food for the $90. But I’m Glad I tried it. 👍🏼👍🏼 Fyi Wait until after thanksgiving if you want to experience the Christmas theme!
