Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Truly fantastic, beginning to end. We opted for the tasting menu and it simply did not miss. Each course was fantastic. Crudo, oyster, and black cod were highlights, along with the gracious and unpretentious service. Easy to see why this is considered one of DC's best restaurants.

This was hands down one of the best meals I've ever had. I went with a friend and we each chose to do the four-course menu—every dish exceeded our expectations. The amuse-bouche perfectly set the tone for what was an incredible dining experience. each course was even better than the last, showcasing bold Indian flavors and creative execution. Having dined at a LOT of Indian restaurants, I can confidently say this is among the best. The service was great, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout. I'll be recommending Rania to all my friends visiting DC!
