Situated on the High Street of Eton, close to the River Thames and between the historic buildings of Eton College and Windsor Castle, Gilbey's is open from 12 noon for lunch and 6pm for dinner every day.Originally an old butcher's shop, we created one of the first wine bars outside London in 1975 - The Eton Wine Bar. After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept. It was a superb evening. The set Valentine menu was great value for money. The food was excellent, and the service was very good. All staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend trying the Leaf restaurant.

Lovely experience. Tiny boutique dining area, lovely cocktails and delightful front of house staff. Difficult surroundings to work in, but all done with a smile and trying to make sure everyone was having the best experience they could on a busy Valentine's night.
