Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts.     This place truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a welcoming vibe that buzzed with excitement. Our server was outstanding, making sure we had everything we needed. The food and drinks? Absolutely top-notch! The decor and atmosphere created a perfect backdrop for a memorable experience. Honestly, I can’t pinpoint a single downside. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic visit!

    We had a great time at Bastone for our 2 year anniversary! Not only was the service great and the food delicious, but the staff went above and beyond to make our night special with some extra surprises! Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. Their aperitivo menu is especially a great deal!!

    Our family with 2 college aged kids had a fabulous and fun experience dining at O-Ku as part of our holiday celebrations together. We had the Osusume chef tasting menu and loved every bit of it. Our outstanding server Elena described it as a tour of the menu. It included sushi and sashimi courses as well as delicious braised beef and dessert. We also enjoyed tasting different sake's and learning more about the flavor profiles. A great experience overall!
