Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. Such a lovely evening! The food was just incredible, particularly the venison tartare, pork loin and beef cheek. Just amazing. Such lovely staff who were always ready to help and even treated us to a complimentary pudding for our special occasion! The Guinness was also a major highlight. Huge fun sitting near the bar upstairs and watching the cooks create everything. Can’t wait to come back again, thank you for looking after us so brilliantly!

Wonderful lunch at Indigo. Shows how creative chefs can be, providing an incredibly delicious menu of delights while remaining dairy and gluten free. My non-intolerant husband couldn’t tell the difference at all in the creme brulee dessert nor the amazing bread. I loved being able to choose whatever I wanted in a lovely ambient, first class restaurant. Thank you!

Outstanding food, service, ambiance. Classic British food, nose to tail, simply but exquisitely prepared. We started with olives and roasted bone marrow, a favourite we order whenever possible, and this was the best we’ve ever had. Accompanying parsley salad was flavourful crunchy and fresh, perfect accompaniment along sourdough toast. For mains we shared grey mullet, grilled shorthorn, white asparagus, green salad and a sublime braised mutton. Everything was superb and we were quite full but couldn’t resist dessert. Both the lemon posset and date loaf with butterscotch sauce were incredible and we ate every last bit. Service was low key excellent and very helpful as we ordered wine by the glass having over imbibed over the weekend and server recommendations were perfect.
