Welcome to The Grove. A modern gastro pub serving a selection of contemporary and classic dishes. We offer a casual dining area with full table service, and a large bar area with assisted service. We are a dog friendly pub as long as they are with well behaved hoomans but we don't allow dogs in our dining area, if you would like to bring a four-legged friend, let us know and we can seat you in our bar area or garden.We accept bookings up to 6 inside, multiple bookings cannot be made for the same party. We have a click and pay app for our guests; it helps us decrease contact at the bar. It also enables our guest to remain at their table. Not all of our tables are covered outside, so please email if you wish to specify. Christmas Day lunch. Great vegan options, but even allowed us to have vegan options from the gluten free menu. Artichoke and chickpea starter - delicious. Oyster mushroom and polenta - outstanding, and a welcome alternative to wellingtons and strudel mains often seen on other menus. One of us had the vegan cherry crumble and one had the pineapple tartin...both of us thought they were superb. Sides were also large and tasty. The staff were all super friendly, despite being so busy. Just wish we lived closer, then we'd definitely be regulars.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. You can guarantee the food is always good, service is good. The ambience, noisy but not too noisy - feels like you are having lunch somewhere abroad eg France
