The Assembly House is a gorgeous Georgian gem perfectly located in the heart of Norwich. We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. As the Home of Afternoon Tea, we also serve some spectacular savoury versions of tea, including Beforenoon Tea, seafood option Afternoon Sea and our cheese-based option Afternoon Cheese. The Belgian Monk opened in December 2000. The main objective was to create something different yet to fit in with the way drinking and dining is changing. It has become a successful and established bar and restaurant, offering customers a choice of a regular selection of some 45 beers together with a selection of special beers. The menu is based on serving only the best products available freshly prepared daily, at realistic prices, in an informal relaxed "friends and family" atmosphere. It provides more than just the meal or drink but a whole Belgian experience. Our party enjoyed the Peter Pan afternoon tea. It was excellent!! One of the party is gluten and lactose intolerant and they were provided with a separate stand of food. Their items looked exactly like the other one. Service was efficient and the staff were extremely friendly. A beautiful setting.

Came to the Red lion from Cambridge in the summer and sat near the river Such a lovely setting Came back to Norwich and decided to book Sunday lunch Had the pork belly and Roast beef Have to say it’s the best roast we have had 10/10 for everything Gary and Linda Cambridge

I fairly close to William & Florence so have the opportunity to visit fairly often and I have never had a meal that I have not enjoyed and the service has always been very goid
