Inspired by Italy’s aperitivo hour, when public squares and streets are filled with lively conversation, Portico serves handmade and authentic Italian fare in Sebastopol in western Sonoma County.A portico is a colonnade or covered walkway in classical architecture. Since the middle ages the elegant porticos of Bologna, Italy have a meeting place for the public as well as a place for business. Paolo Pedrinazzi (who is from Bologna) and Kat Escamilla, owners of the new Portico trattoria , bring this experience to Sebastopol. They even have monthly Regional dinner parties with live jazz.The setting includes an Italian fountain on their cozy patio. Portico offers light table service and counter ordering. Koshō Restaurant at The Barlow is a modern Japanese and sushi restaurant in Sebastopol with a progressive focus on food, local ingredients, and sustainability. Koshō derives its moniker from the condiment of the same name, Yuzu Koshō. This was our first time at Campanella and it did not disappoint! We dined with friends who were also first timers. Everything we ordered from fresh salads to Nonna's meatballs, four cheese ravioli (amazing sauce!) , eggplant parm and the delectable desserts were all absolutely delicious. Servers were super friendly, professional and extremely attentive. Drink were also excellent and the vibe was cozy and fun. All in all, an A+ and, yes, we will be back! Thanks Campanella staff. You guys rock!

Absolutely fantastic experience! It’s always a crap shoot going out for a major holiday but I wouldn’t change a thing! The food was incredible and the staff really worked their tails off to make everyone’s thanksgiving a nice one.

First time there and was truly impressed. Service was friendly and efficient, the menu was diverse to satisfy a variety of appetites and the ambience was comfortable and warm. Every plate we had was visually beautiful and extraordinarily tasty. The wine, cocktail and mocktail selection was ample. Will be back!

The miso soup was excellent. Ordered the seaweed salad and it was unlike any I’ve ever had and was delicious. My friends chicken dish was also very yummy. Sushi was good, too.
