El Tres is located in the heart of Thunder Bay’s Waterfront district, known for it’s wide selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance from one another. We offer an inspired menu of authentic Mexican cuisine, made fresh in-house and from scratch, as well as craft cocktails, locally brewed beers and a small wine list.

At Caribou the surroundings are comfortable and the focus is contemporary cuisine of exceptional quality. Signature dishes created by our Chef include certified Angus tenderloin, cedar plank salmon, black and blue ahi tuna and wood oven pizzas. Our desserts are prepared in-house by our pastry chef. We feature an extensive wine list with numerous vintage wines as well as over 30 wines by the glass.Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar opened in November of 1999. The menu has been developed over many years of visiting restaurants all over North America and the world. Options represent Italian, Asian, Cuban or any other styles of new and exciting cuisine.Caribou has been listed in "Where to Eat in Canada" for several years running and the wine list has earned the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" every year since 2002.

    My first time here, definitely did not disappoint - me and my cousin were pleasantly surprised at the fantastic taste and perfect size of the meals along with the variety of food on the plate. The prices were very very good for the quality and quantity of food we got.

    Caribou is a gem in our community and enjoyed another great meal and bottle of wine this evening. Our server Donnie was off the charts incredible, recommending a bottle of CabSav we had never tried along with the most delicious peanut butter chocolate cheesecake to wrap our evening following a delicious meal. Thank you Donnie for your attentiveness! You're a definite asset and look forward to seeing you again.
