A little history on our namesake: The Linwood Hotel: John B. Pullis established the Linwood Hotel in about 1888. Located on the Southeast corner of South Clinton Avenue and Linden Place, the Linwood Hotel temporarily housed WW1 Navy flyers from the Bay Shore Aero Station while their barracks were being constructed. The Linwood was destroyed by fire on October 11, 1925.

We absolutely love Bar Clementine. The food, drinks and service are outstanding. We have tried many menu items and all delicious - especially love the mushroom rice balls and truffle french fries. Thanks to Alex and Shannon for another beautiful evening 🌻

Food is always spot on! Lobster Bisque was perfect, rich and creamy with plenty of lobster pieces. Our burgers were cooked a nice medium rare as requested. Nice beer on tap selection. Worth a visit!

We got cocktails from the bar prior to sitting which were delicious. We had the calamari/shrimp etc app which was great. I got the steak, which was delicious and my husband got the pork. The pork was not our favorite as it was a little tough/dry. We finished it off with a pumpkin cheesecake which was also very good. I also love that I can get a glass of Sancerre which you don’t often see.
