Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Our menu is a mixture of familiar Pittsburgh foods (think pierogies, hamburgers, French fries) and French bistro classics (beef tartare, raclette, mussels), and seasonal classics that come and go throughout the year. We put care into our vegetarian dishes too, including making our own tempeh, falafel, and veggie patties from scratch. Menu items change frequently--usually every day--and reflect many long-standing relationships we have with farms and breweries in our region. The Winter Salad has a perfect balancr of flavors and textures. Highly recommend. The Ricotta Cavelltrlli also had just the balance of lightness and heaviness, richness and savory vegetables. Husband had perfectly cooked strip steak.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Eighty Acres last night. Our server, Michelle is so friendly and professional. Chef. Don makes the best Walleye with Black Garlic aioli and shredded brussell sprout slaw. My husband loved the Filet Mignon that was prepared perfectly medium rare. We always enjoy after dinner drinks at the bar with Paolo. Amy is the most gracious host anywhere.
