The Venetian’s award-winning Italian cuisine (including what critics call some of San Diego’s best pizza), relaxed setting and casual atmosphere have earned generations of fans since Vince Giacalone first welcomed customers in 1965. Sons Joey and Frank proudly continue their family traditions, making sausage, soups and sauces from scratch and drawing a devoted, all-ages clientele. Highlights of the menu include bruschetta, seafood pastas, chicken and veal piccata, and thick- or thin-crust pizzas with either traditional or trendy toppings. Located in Point Loma, The Venetian’s friendly service and “Cheers” style vibe make it a favorite destination for date night, happy hour, dinner with friends or family celebrations. Little Italy was built by the fishing industry. Ironside attempts to continue that narrative. It's our contemporary interpretation of the classic fish house and oyster bar. Located in a historic auction house on India St we did a full comprehensive restoration of the building, with three open-air culinary hubs featuring an expansive raw bar, chefs table, and bakery. We tried to be mindful of the past while looking towards the future. Groups of 6 or more will be charged an automatic 20% gratuity.     I am so happy we found this place!! The food, service and atmosphere were incredible. It was decorated for valentines day and we felt like we were having dinner in the middle of an Alice in Wonderland-esqu fairytale scene. There were flowers, lights, giant heart shaped balloons, themed cocktails and desserts. The photo opportunities were endless. I think what really made our night was how attentive and engaging the wait staff was. We will definitely be back to see how the atmosphere changes throughout the year and to order one of everything on the menu!
