How do you take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting? That was the question that acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing.     We celebrated Christmas Day dinner. I had the perfectly prepared prime rib. My friend had halibut. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The Brussels sprouts were seasoned with bacon and maybe maple syrup—delicious. We took a “doggy bag” home along with dessert. Our Waiter was Roger. He was knowledgeable and answered our questions about the menu. He was very personable and made our experience very enjoyable and memorable. Extensive wine and alcohol list. We sat at in a booth on the Bar area, that is why I gave lower marks for sound level. The venue itself is elegantly decorated. We will be be back!

    We were there for a special Christmas menu. Very well priced for a very nice meal. The prime rib was gorgeous, as were the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The yorkshire pudding was -- unfortunately -- an overcooked and brittle shell. A misstep that didn't ruin the meal by any means, but it's not something that's often offered on American menus and I'd been looking forward to it as a component. Outstanding service -- the staff are always great at Honey Salt.
