General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. A great experience at this location. Server Jasmine was fantastic. The vegetarian Pot Pie was a great meal. Mulled wine was also delicious, highly recommended!

Excellent server with knowledge of the menu and drinks. Bright location and a nice variety of seating. Had the brunch menu which satisfied everyone plus large enough servings to require a doggy bag. Have been before and will return.

The restaurant is spacious and well appointed. Downstairs can be noisy, with a bar area TV and later live music. The menu has a good range of selections, the service was excellent. Very friendly and easy going staff. We had 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes and a shared dessert. The food preparation and taste was excellent. Some dishes are quite expensive. The large private parking lot was very convenient.
