Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. Mimi’s Bakehouse has become one of Edinburgh’s best-loved bakeries and an award-winning brand which is a well-known “feel good” place to visit, while remaining small enough to go the extra mile and try new things.

Mamma Roma is an authentic Italian restaurant located at 4/7 Antigua Street Edinburgh. Loudons Café & Bakery serves Scottish and continental delicacies from its location at 94B Fountainbridge. Burgers, quiche, soup and pancakes, as well as a vast selection of cakes feature on a menu where most items are made on site and ingredients are locally sourced. We had a lovely afternoon tea and coffee and refills. But my companion was slightly surprised at being charged for a latte instead of an americano. But I guess it wasn’t on the list of options right enough…

I had my birthday celebration at Shish and it was awesome! The ambience is beautiful and they have very friendly staff. The food portions were so good that we couldn’t even finish the food. My girls and I had a very nice time and we got value for money. Would definitely recommend!
