Good food, good mood. Bar Camino puts a fresh twist on Mexican-Latin food favorites, highlighting the influence of traditional Mexican ingredients and flavors throughout Latin America. The restaurant’s worldly take on Mexican cuisine includes dishes ranging from a traditional skirt steak ranchero plate to a refined King salmon with fresh plantains and cilantro rice.Our décor combines contemporary and traditional aesthetics, with neon lights, a refinished cypress king’s table that seats twelve, and a patio featuring picnic-style tables with bright blue umbrellas. The bar program is similarly eclectic, with a play on a dirty martini with tequila shaken tableside and tropical drinks featuring fresh strawberry, mango, and hibiscus flavors. Bar Camino will feature happy hour Monday through Friday – from 3-5 PM and a “reverse happy hour” Thur-Sat from 8 PM until close.

Shelby's, in Orinda, crafts elevated and contemporary Continental and California fusion cuisine made with fine ingredients in its friendly and bright restaurant. The organic sweet potato chips with a mild chipotle dip and the breaded fried brie in a chipotle-strawberry glaze with warm baguette make most welcoming starter options.     My son and went to celebrate our birthdays on 2/17/25 . We were pleased with how fast we were seated . The waiter passed out water and soup and salad’s right away . The cook did his thing we were pleased .

    Wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. The halibut was perfect and the polenta mushroom appetizer was warm and savory. My husband enjoyed the rack of lamb. Best ambiance ever, full of families and couples enjoying good food, romantic piano accompaniment, and a stylish environment reminiscent of classic times. While busy, it was not loud and extra staff were on hand to keep everything flowing.

    Glad to be able to get a Valentine's Day reservation on fairly short notice. The service was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy night, and the server was honest about our not having time for dessert if we wanted to make our show. Too bad, because the desserts looked yummy and they have a great selection of after-dinner liqueurs (along with a great wine list). We had a salad and two entrees. Both were well conceived and presented. The salmon was cooked a little more than I requested but was still tasty. Overall a lovely Valentine's Day dinner!

    Place was great but their open table app was not working so when we got there they said that they had no tables. Got one anyway. Spaghetti and meatballs was awesome
