Selene Aegean Bistro is the newest venture from the family that brought you the Michelin guide recommended Nammos Estiatorio. “We're incredibly excited to introduce Selene to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood,” said Yianni Kerasiotis, co-owner of Selene. “Our vision is to create a unique, elevated dining experience for this city. Selene will be Greek cuisine with an exciting blend of culinary influences from all across the Aegean coast."Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.Our online reservation is limited to 6 guests; should you require 7+, please call/email us.

Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.

Thomas Makris, from the Island of Skopelos, fell in love when he met Helen Babalos. They met at Orestes Greek restaurant in 1974, while on a Greek dancing tour of North America. Soon after their marriage, they had a vision to open a place like no other in Vancouver; a Greek restaurant where everyone is family; where everyone receives a consistent experience created by delicious homemade authentic food and impeccable service. In 1984 they opened Anatoli Souvlaki in north Vancouver. In 2011 their sons Alexi and Iani took over the restaurant and early 2015 they expanded on their parents original dream, in a new venture with their cousin Daniel Bergman, Alexi and Iani opened ‘The Greek by Anatoli’ in Yaletown. ‘The Greek by Anatoli’ focuses on small share plates or “mezze”.

    The restaurant has a great ambiance. Food and drink prices are reasonable, especially as the quality is higher than other similar mid-range restaurants. Staff are very pleasant and efficient.

    Had a lovely brunch today at the Tap & Barrel Bridges on Granville Island. They do a Happy Hour brunch before noon with all brunch $4 off so you have nothing to lose. The food was great, our server, Avielle was lovely and it's a perfect spot to sit. I have been here many times but didn't know about the deal on brunch. I'll be back - great food, great location and value.

    Went for Valentine’s Day dinner 2025. The food and service were excellent. The warm olives (must have if you like olives) and homous were great appetizers and our mains,the vegan calamari dinner and vegan souvlaki dinner, were very good with a bottle of red. Lots of food! The ambiance was nice. We had a cozy table in the back and it was nice and warm in the restaurant on a cold night. The belly dancing was a fun surprise. Our server Spiri (sp?) was excellent. Would recommend.

    We returned to Selena for the second week in a row due to the fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Our second visit was equally delightful. The chefs here are exceptionally skilled and purposeful; I doubt there are better chefs in the city. Kudos to the entire team, and we're already planning to come back next week. The wine program and cocktails are also top-notch and added to our enjoyment You’re very happy to have had Josh and Anna there for our second visit !!!
