Curated by Aaron Taylor, Atlas Restaurant Group’s Corporate Chef & Chef Partner in this concept, the menu puts steak in the spotlight with over 11 cuts from Chicago-based meat purveyor Meats by Linz. The Ruxton will serve a mix of wet and dry aged prime cuts of Black Angus Beef, as well as dry aging Long Island Duck and Bison from Virginia’s New Frontier Farm in-house. Soooo, I did chat with the manager…our server got overwhelmed and seemed to miss a drink order and when I inquired she b came very moody. I even shared with the manager that I apologize for upsetting her, it didn’t change the behavior and completely impacted our experience. The staff seemed under prepared for the evening.

Wonderful Christmas Eve experience at the Ruxton. We opted for a late lunch and were totally satisfied with the service, ambiance and (of course) the food. My filet was prepared exactly as requested and it was extremely tender and delicious. My wife’s salmon dish was equally satisfying. If you haven’t been to the Ruxton yet, you have to try it. You won’t be disappointed!

Have been to Gertrude's a few times and it has always been enjoyable. This visit was, as expected, just as memorable. The original cocktail was interesting and wonderfully flavorful. The other classic cocktail was expertly mixed and was like a visit from an old friend. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. What really made the night complete was the charming and helpful server, Grace. No matter how good food and drink is, a restaurant either succeeds or fails based on the quality of the service. Fortunately, this restaurant has staff as lovely and accommodating as Grace. Thank you all for a wonderful birthday dinner.

Was not crowded or loud at all. Was a very enjoyable experience. Servers were very attentive and turned on the fireplace for us right when we arrived. The food was delicious and portions were worth the price.
