General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. What a fun Holiday Season kickoff. A lovely room all decorated for winter festivities and full of history. The selection of teas, savoury and sweet treats was great. This might become an annual event!

Great food with an incredible view. The location feels exclusive especially since it's on the 44th floor. A must visit especially if you are treating a guest from outside of Toronto

Excellent atmosphere. Definietly recommend. Its our second time there and again we came with our infant daughter and they were unprepared. They accommodated but only after they realized that their approach would hamper our childs safety and then they complied. Exact same thing happened the time before. Please train your staff to handle seating families with infants that will remain in their stroller basket. THe unprepared approach makes it a bit annoying.

Amazing experience!!! We were in town for Taylor Swift and Lyla’s was the cherry on top of a perfect night. The staff was so attentive and thoughtful and the owner even spent time talking to us and making sure we had a great time. And the food was phenomenal!
