Stemming from the old Occitania language, the word ‘ostal’ refers to house & the warmth of hospitality that encompasses welcoming one into your home. Throughout the six dialects of this language starting in Catalonia, stretching through the Languedoc into Provence and onto the Alps of Piemonte, they all embrace this welcoming through their cooking. We celebrate the traditions of each country through their amazing cuisine as well as showcasing the wine and heritage of indigenous products. Chef prepared a custom tasting menu for us. It was very reminiscent of our NYC holiday dinners from the past. Every plate was more delicious than the previous. Well Done! Service was spot on. Zero issues.

The food was good. The gnocchi were under cooked but the sauce was delicious. The veal Osso Bucco special was very tasty. The service was not very good. We had empty drinks after bringing our drinks from the bar and were never asked if we needed another drink. I would consider going again but if the service doesn’t improve, it would be my last. Separately, it is cold in the restaurant especially near the from window where we were seated.

The food is very authentic especially the Southern Indian dishes. The staff are very courteous and attentive. The tandoori chicken and rack of lamb were outstanding . That cauliflower and okra were delicious. That mango lassi was well made and refreshing. We (5 adults and two children} celebrated my grand daughters birthday . They were very accommodating . we were given several containers and a convenient bag for left overs. This was not my first visit and it will not be my last either!!
