Bringing 1940s Paris to modern-day Edinburgh, Café St Honoré restaurant is a charming bistro serving up traditional French cuisine (with a few Scottish favourites thrown in) to a loyal clientele. The rump steak was really good and the oysters were unreal! Ambiance is very cozy and the staff were exceptional especially Tj and Joanna! It is a bit expensive especially the cocktails or wines, but you get what you pay for. Great for celebrations!

An oasis of France in a city centre. French cooking, French amity with style but no snobbery. We have been going for over 20 years and love seeing new faces, fleeing jaded junk, finally to find the real French touch. I've been passed and wanted only a sandwich and immediately was given a delightful plate of real food. And we've taken parties of 8, in a private room - just sizzling. Parfait!

This is not a cheap option for lunch, but for a special occasion or treat, it is one of my favourite places in Edinburgh. The food, service and ambience are consistently exceptional. Definitely need to book in advance. The phone was busy all lunchtime with people looking for a table that night but they were fully booked.
