Our aim is to be the central hub of the community, The Axe and Compasses is a traditional British village pub dating back to 1628, serving a wide and varied selection of quality lagers, cask conditioned ales, fine wines, and premium spirits. A fantastic Sunday roast - plentiful portions and lots of flavour! Service was great, we didn’t feel rushed! The desserts were great too. We all enjoyed I our Sunday lunch and would certainly return!

I regularly dine here. Service is usually good and the food is fine. I welcomed the Pris Fixé menu I think that represents a true flavour of France and good value.
