Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. I’ve read countless reviews and experiences looked forward to dining here — the service was fantastic - wait staff and everyone was great — I was mildly disappointed regarding the dishes. Could be my expectations were petty high based on reviews, instagram posts etc , so I’ll give it another try — I will say the Sourdough bread appetizer was delicious and overall the food was ok — just ehh… not great

Excellent food and service as always. We keep going back and are never disappointed. Coffee is so smooth. The entrees are presented well and taste wonderful. Wife had salmon salad. I had beef with scallops on potato. Both excellent. Love the people watching also. You get what you pay for. If you like waitstaff dressed in ties and white shirts like we do, then this is the place
