Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

The Quality Chop House celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019.Our menus are seasonally-focused and change daily based around the best produce delivered each morning. We suggest bookings, but do take walk-ins.In addition to our a la carte menu, we offer a £29 set lunch menu (January to November), and on Sunday lunches we serve a splendid roast.If you are interested in a table for more than 6 guests, we have a Private Dining Room that seats up to 14. Fire led modern European cooking, served in a warm vibrant dining room. Reservations open on the 1st of each month for the following month, for groups up to 6 guests. A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. We accept bookings for tables of up to six people in the dining room.It can be loud and slightly chaotic; at night it is dark. We turn tables because we need to in order to survive and pay the people that make it work, so please don’t be offended if we ask you to wait a moment for your table. Granary Square Brasserie, a new restaurant brand from the team behind the Ivy Collection.The brasserie buzz through breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and cream teas in the afternoon.     We had the chefs choice tasting menu with wine pairing. Staff were nice and welcoming, we arrived when the restaurant just opened for 6 so the atmosphere was relaxed which was nice. The food was delicious and well presented, each dish arrived promptly and the wine pairing to go with each dish was lovely and well explained by the staff which was a nice touch. My one slight negative was the fact each dish was made for sharing and some of the portion sizes were quite small so if there are two of you with a larger appetite you might leave still feeling a tad hungry, this is why I left a 4 star for value as I felt for the price having your own dish each wouldn’t have been too much to ask. Regardless of that the quality of the food was very good, the pork and potato main dish being the standout, absolutely exquisite! I’d recommend a visit for anyone looking for a Michelin star tasting menu on the slightly more affordable side I would just say be prepared to have to get a late night snack on the way home!

    What a fantastic experience. We are fans of “nose to tail” dining and love dishes made with organ meats and other elements not usually served in restaurants. Even so the cuisine here was extraordinary: Exceptionally well cooked and simply presented. And our server James was both knowledgeable and very attentive. All around a smashing dinner. When we return to London we will most definitely come back.
