Yauatcha Soho, located in the heart of vibrant London, is an all-day dim sum teahouse offering a wide selection of modern authentic dim sum alongside European patisserie and an extensive range of teas, wine and cocktails. The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

Professional service from start to finish. A glass of Prosecco was a welcome start to the fixed price meal. Carefully prepared dishes were focussed and precise. The veloute was creamy, the pork belly was succulent but not fatty, the venison was tender and pink. Four (different) puddings were idiosyncratic and delicious. The wine list is comprehensive and an Australian Chardonnay was ripe, fruity and good value. Coffee came with petit fours.

This place exceeded our expectations. From the perfect drinks to the friendly staff, we enjoyed an excellent meal from start to finish. We would highly recommend this to anyone for a special occasion!

Simply the one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Service top class with nothing too much trouble, food exceptional, view over the Thames and Tower Bridge adds to the experience . Not cheap but good value because you get what you pay for. Been there numerous times and not once have I had any reason to complain. Well sourced fish in particular and an extensive choice on the menu. Highly recommended.

Went to the Pizza Room for an early dinner with 3 colleagues. Pizza choice is extensive and good wine as well. We we served warmly, quickly and efficiently and we had a great chat while having our meal. Would go again and recommend. The Auntumn and Summer pizzas were very good, probably a more eat-with-your hands place although there is cutlery.
