Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. Always An amazing experience! Everything on the Menus is dependable and superb. We had an extra person and a miscommunication on our reservation however Val the lead hostess and manager made a huge effort to accommodate us and ensure we could fit our guest. I’ve never seen a manager go through so much effort and be as gracious as Val was and go above and beyond to help us out. Thank you Val.

Bistro La Chaumière is promising to be new favorite for authentic French bistro cuisine ~ from a perfectly tangy Salade César and fragrant Soupe à l’Oignon to a generous serving of Moules Frites (served with hand cut fries), a rich Bouillabaisse and Steak au Poivre to an orange blossom scented Crème Caramel ~ our table enjoyed every dish from the new expanded menu. We have been regulars at La Sarrasine (Galettes Bretonnes are still on Bistro La Chaumière’s lunch menu), so excited for this interior refresh and menu expansion. The bistro ambience is cozy & service is always swift.
