Byblos Café, originally a Mediterranean market, has been a staple in the orange circle since the 50’s. It was sold to Adel and Zalfa Mahshi in 1989. The family run business became a favorite in the town for Lebanese cuisine. Many locals loyally frequented the spot for their famous Turkish coffee. In 2022, Daily Dose Hospitality, the crew that also runs Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, purchased the business from the family. While Adel and Zalfa had the opportunity to retire, their son, Tim, joined the team alongside Pedram Yazarlou as operating partners. We had a wonderful and tasty meal of seven fishes with wine pairings. Each fish item was the freshest and tastiest I have had and we buy our home fish from Santa Monica Seafood which is excellent but not as good as O Sea! My wife and I also did the wine pairings and enjoyed each wine and was relieved that none were too large. I apologized to Mike that we have not visited O Sea since last Christmas! Our New Years Resolution is to visit more often! Maybe O Sea could have more fish themed dinners like the opening day of trout season in CA…the first Saturday in April.

Everything about Haven Craft Kitchen + Bar is great! If you've never been, do try it. If you've been....you know what I'm talking about. We had a really great lunch today and loved the food and service was just right!
