First off we would have rated this a 5 out of five on every element The only issue was on our surf and turf plate a couple of the items were cold. The flavor of everything we ate was 5 out of five we actually cleared the plate even with the cold food. What made the night even more exceptional was the response to our complaint of the cold food. Not only did our server Carla, apologize and tell us she was going to make it right, Chef Fernando, personally came to our table and apologized and took full responsibility for his crew. They provided us a free dessert, we didn't ask for anything for the error in the temperature we just wanted them to be aware, and then continue to let us know that he was dedicated to making it right. When's the last time any restaurant did that for anybody? We will 100% come back next time we're in San Jose del Cabo and highly recommend it to everybody. Friendly staff, good prices, really nice environment, and a staff dedicated to customers.

Very impressed! We went to Rubas on our last day in SJD and I wish we had tried it earlier as I will definitely be back! Great breakfasts fresh bread and the coffee was *chef's kiss*! We took baked goods and a load of bread with us as well. Service was wonderful- lovely and friendly staff and the garden is such a nice place to enjoy a meal. I'd also love to try it for lunch/dinner :)

OMAKAI was excellent. The quality of the fish was sublime. The gyoza stuffed with pork belly....delicious. We are big sashimi eaters, so the chefs choice sashimi, 5 fish, three pieces each was a great choice. The toro melted in your mouth. I had a hand roll, unagi with foie gras, also excellent. All the flavors came through on each bite. We had no room for desert, but since we'll be back I wasn't worried that I missed anything. The owner was very attentive and the service was excellent. It wasn't cheap, but what is these days. It wasn't anymore than I expected and we ate a good amount. Kudos to the kitchen, job well done. In San Jose, don't miss this fine dining experience
